Event Why Artists Travel

Neil will be taking part in an Artist panel discussion / talk on the evening of the 5th November 2019 with fellow members Shanti Panchal and Caroline McAdam Clark

Discover the importance of travel to RWS artists Shanti PanchalNeil Pittawayand Caroline McAdam Clark and how it feeds through into their paintings in and out of the studio. This panel discussion will delve into the working processes of these three artists to find out how the act of 'the journey' informs the inspiration that leads to the artwork.

Shanti returns to India each year replenishing his memories of a childhood spent in Gujurat, while Caroline embarks on regular expeditions to new horizons looking for an essential iconography of place. Neil has travelled extensively and has painted in many remote locations including the Nepal Himalayas and the Peruvian Andes.

Complimentary drinks will be served from 6pm and the discussion will start promptly at 6.30pm.

Please not this is a ticketed event the cost is £5 per ticket and £3 for friends of the Bankside Gallery
